No Whiney Hineys in the Texas Pineys!

The LIT Relay is a 70 mile, 1-day relay (18 legs completed by teams of any size*) through the beautiful Texas Piney Woods! Teams will start just outside of the beloved town of Cut And Shoot and finish in historic Huntsville. In order to have a blast, the fuse must first be lit!

The LIT Relay explained...

The longer, more formal, name of the LIT is the the LIT Fuse, and it marks the official beginning of the Texas long distance relay season! The LIT is a "sunrise-to-sunset" relay covering 70 miles that gallop through the exquisite Sam Houston National Forest area. The course is truly a run through the Texas Piney Woods to remember and cherish with your team!

Your team may have any number of members you desire (so long as your team moves along the course at an overall pace of 11min/mile or faster), but since the relay has 18 legs, the recommended team sizes are 3, 6, or 9 team members. You, your family, your friends, your work colleagues (and even your soon-to-be friends) will all love the LIT! Check out all the details, and if you have any questions at any time, please don't hesitate to contact us. We can't wait to see you at the inaugural LIT - the Texas Independence Relay's brand new younger sibling (produced by Lone Star Relays) - on Saturday, October 26. We'll see you on the roads and trails!
